What to expect
The square is set up like a blooming field to walk through. In addition to picking tulips, the organization announces a musical band and the opportunity to take photos with the mascot and with hostesses in Dutch costumes.
It’s a family-friendly event: children enter free and the visit lasts as long as you wish.
What to see in Modica the same weekend
The TuliPark Day takes about an hour to visit. The rest of the day is best spent exploring the city, a UNESCO World Heritage site for its baroque architecture:
the Chocolate Museum, to understand why Modica's chocolate is different from all others;
the Castle of the Counts, with a view of the city;
Palazzo Polara and the Civic Museum Belgiorno.
You can find a complete itinerary in our guide What to see in Modica and, if you have more days, in the baroque tour between Ragusa, Modica, and Scicli.
